Today's mail brought an entry from Tom Kelly, skipper of Anam Cara, a J-122 with a PHRF rating of 42. Rumor has it that Tom is also doing the Van Isle 360, a race around Vancouver Island in early June.
Velocity joins the race
Today I received the entry for Velocity, a J-42 skippered by Tom Keffer.
California Girl joins the race
Last night we received Timm & Victoria Lessley's entry for their Cal 40 California Girl. Timm & Victoria have done this race a number of times. Experienced distance racers, they have also done a number of Pacific Cup races.
Revisions to Notice of Race - Now Available on a link to the left!
We have made a variety of changes to the Notice of Race for 2011. The most important of these is that
CYC is now requiring all racers to have a current PHRF-NW rating. The second is that all racing yachts must carry a minimum of $500,000 in liability insurance. The Amended Notice of Race is now posted on this Blog.

Second entry arrives
Frank Colistro with Wy'East, a Cascade 36, is the second entry in the 2011 Offshore.
Dates for 2011 Oregon Offshore
This year the race will start on Thursday May 12, 2011 at Buoy 2 on the Columbia and finish no later than 10 am on Sunday morning on May 15. 2011. The start time will be announced at the Skipper's Meeting in Astoria on May 11, 2011.
The kick-off party is scheduled for April 25, 2011, so save the date!
